"On Site Philadelphia" is a city-wide dance project developed by Leah Stein Dance Company that incorporates unusual and historic sites and local communities in original performance presentations created and performed on location throughout the region. In choosing sites, there are specific qualities Leah Stein looks for, including: a combination of architecture and landscape, varied textures, acoustic potential, and historic significance. "On Site Philadelphia" is an annual event of varying size and scope, depending on the nature of the site and the communities involved.

The intent of this project is to bring together new constituencies - dance and historic sites - to awaken a sense of place in unexpected and memorable ways through performance events.
